Copper-Zinc Brazing Alloy

The brass-series brazing alloys are suitable for brazing pure copper, brass, bronze, low-carbon steel, cast iron, nickel-base alloys and carbide cutting tools. It performs well for dissimilar-metal joints such as copper-to-steel and copper-to-cast-iron. Not recommended for aluminum alloy, titanium alloy and high-corrosion-resistance stainless-steel service. Low melting temperature, Good wetting performance on copper-alloy, carbon-steel and cast-iron substrates. Flux is MANDATORY, no self-fluxing feature. Moderate-good flowability, excellent ductility and toughness to withstand vibration and impact loads. This series of alloy can be applied to various brazing processes such as furnace brazing and induction brazing.Note that vacuum brazing is not recommended as Zinc (Zn) tends to evaporate under high-temperature heating, which may cause fume and porosity.
